Each Withers Studio piece starts with carefully sourced North American hardwoods. Each board is hand selected from our stock for its character, quality, and fitness in the final piece. Our shop has hands on every piece, at every step along the way, from rough raw material, to final finishing. We focus on solid hardwood in our work for its integrity and one of a kind beauty, knowing that our clients come to us for a unique custom piece that cannot be found in furniture mass produced by larger brands. We only source our slabs from sustainable sources where we know the origin of the material and go to great lengths in this process.

The majority of our pieces are finished with a zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) wood finish with no smell or harmful chemicals. We use a UV light setting finish to maximise the durability of all our finished work. Our ultimate goal is to make elegant pieces made for living while respecting the health of our clients, team and environment.
